- Omnisphere 2 Crackling Issue I know this doesn't really fit the type of synthesizers usually posted here, but I'm at a bit of a loss here. Downloaded Omnisphere and Keyscape a few weeks back, absolutely love the sounds I can get out of them.
- Mar 15, 2013 Omnisphere can do most stuff well but I would say that its strengths are pads and textures which is does exceptionally well. In terms of CPU, I have a 2011 MacBook Pro with 8GB RAM and a quad core i7 2.2Ghz an I find that Omnisphere patches would probably use 8-10% CPU when playing a 4 note chord. They can be more and a few might be a bit less.

Cpu Usage Free Fix
In extreme cases, excessive Omnisphere CPU usage can cause your digital audio workstation to stop responding and even to crash, causing you to lose your work. Monitor Omnisphere's CPU usage by watching the blue meter in the upper right corner of the Omnisphere window; if your digital audio workstation has a CPU meter, keep an eye on this as well.
